Eisenhower Carlson PLLC is a full-service law firm based in Tacoma, Washington. Founded in the early 1900s, we offer rich history and depth of experience providing exceptional legal services in a wide variety of practice areas. Our History
Clients often ask whether the “Eisenhower” in our firm name was related to Dwight D. Eisenhower.
The answer is yes.
Ed Eisenhower, one of our founders, was the older brother of the former president. He, a graduate of the University of Michigan Law School, settled in Tacoma in 1914. After joining the bar, he started the firm that now proudly bears his name.
A few years later, Tacoma native Reuben Carlson graduated from the University of Washington Law School. Returning to his hometown, he also opened a law firm in the city.
Over many years, both the Carlson and Eisenhower firms found their individual successes. And both shared a culture based upon providing notable work for the legal profession-to the benefit of their clientele. Sharing similar missions, the two firms eventually merged in 1960 to better serve those clients through joined forces. Later, to continue that tradition of customer service, Eisenhower Carlson opened a full-service office in Seattle in 1998.
Since that time we’ve continued growing as a firm and remain dedicated to setting the standard for customer service within our profession. We owe much of our success to the dedication and determination of Ed Eisenhower and Reuben Carlson. They set high standards of ethics and hard work that guide our attorneys every day.
Community Service
At Eisenhower Carlson we believe in the importance of serving and being an integral part of the communities we practice in through financial support and volunteer service. Each year, we give back to our communities through sponsorship and a high level of dedication to service.
